About

Hi, I'm Luke

"Making Employment Law Human"

Employment law doesn't have to be scary or complicated. I'm here to translate the legal jargon into real solutions that work for real people. Whether you're an employer trying to do right by your team or an employee standing up for your rights, I've got your back.

My Story

A journey from wide-eyed law graduate to your trusted employment law ally

2023

Founded Law in Work

"After years in big firms, I realized I wanted to work differently. I wanted to know my clients' names, not just their case numbers. So I took the plunge and started Law in Work."

2018

The Lightbulb Moment

"I was mediating a dispute between a manager and employee who both genuinely cared about their workplace. That's when I realized: most employment issues aren't about bad people—they're about poor communication."

2012

Learning Empathy

"Running my first workplace investigation taught me that behind every case is a human being having the worst day of their working life. That changed everything about how I practice law."

2008

The Beginning

"Fresh out of law school, I thought I'd change the world overnight. I quickly learned that real change happens one conversation, one case, one relationship at a time."

My Values

1

Compassion First

Every workplace dispute involves real people with real feelings. I never forget that someone's livelihood and dignity are on the line.

2

Clarity Always

Legal jargon helps no one. I speak in plain English and make sure you understand exactly what's happening and why.

3

Practical Over Theoretical

Academic perfection means nothing if it doesn't work in the real world. I focus on solutions that actually solve problems.

4

Prevention Over Cure

The best legal problem is the one that never happens. I'd rather help you avoid disputes than fight them later.

Off-the-Clock

"Because life's too short to only talk about work..."

BBQ Enthusiast

Low and slow is my motto—whether it's smoking brisket or building client relationships. My specialty? A 16-hour smoked pork shoulder that's won over more clients than my law degree!

Weekend Hiker

There's nothing like a good hike to clear your head and gain perspective. Some of my best case strategies have come to me halfway up a Peak District trail.

Dog Dad

Meet Baxter, my office co-worker and chief morale officer. He's a Golden Retriever who thinks every client meeting is just an excuse for belly rubs.

Let's Connect

"I believe the best legal advice starts with a good conversation. Drop me a line—I'd love to hear what's on your mind."

Or find me on social media:

"No legal-speak, no judgment, just honest advice about your situation."

— Luke

"Your concerns matter. Let's talk through your options together."

— Luke

"Reach out anytime—I'm here to help, not to judge."
